Chapter II - The Bronze Age

This era is associated with the invention of a new metal alloy, which had a major impact on human history. Suddenly, agriculture, construction and mining became much more efficient. The ease of processing bronze influenced the development of the decorative industry. Copper and tin ores existed side by side only in certain areas. Consequently, those cultural circles that developed in parts of the world less rich in raw materials had to import particular metals. This fueled trade and indirectly contributed to the development of the first great civilizations. Residents of areas rich in natural resources began to create the first urban centers
